South West Area 09 - WESTON SUPER MARE Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March

SOUTH WEST AREA – What a great weekend!

The sun shone, the skies were blue, the Hotel wonderful, the company excellent.

A huge thank you to you all for your support in all competitions.

We entered teams in:

Brainstrust Competition – team -Will Akerman, Ann Maidment, Edd Akerman & David Maidment from Malmesbury YFC came 1st WELL DONE, great performance. Good luck for National Finals in October.

The Junior Public Speaking – team – Samantha Padfield, Jessica Cole & Olivia Cole from Melksham, came 2nd.

Samantha Padfield also came 2nd in the Junior Member of the Year Both now go to the National Finals in October. WELL DONE. GOOD LUCK.

The Call My Bluff team – Tom Ferris (Chippenham YFC), Rachel Bailey (Calne YFC) & James Greening (Chippenham YFC) came 4th, with only 4 hours notice!!

The results from these 3 speaking competitions gave Wiltshire joint 1st place with Devon for the SWA speaking trophy, an award not achieved in Wiltshire for many years.

We also managed to enter all of the sporting competitions:

ten pin bowling 5th, Rugby 5th, Netball 6th, Football 6th Hockey 3rd
